1. You're too busy. You feel that you're way way too busy to learn a new hobby never mind cross stitch.
2. You would find find it intimidating. You have seen some cross stitching work and it looks very intricate and difficult to do. There would be no hope of you learning to do something like that.
3. You have your children to consider. If you are working on a new hobby you will be taking time and attention away from them.
All right, we've looked at reasons why you can't take up a new cross stitching hobby. Now let's look for reasons why you can.
1. You NEED to squeeze in a little relaxation as you go through life. You need to do something for yourself. And cross stitch is a way to do just that.
2 While you think cross stitch might be intimidating now when you look at the whole picture- once you take it one step at a time it makes sense and becomes easy. Anyone who can make a cross with a needle and thread can actually do cross stitch. There is one basic stitch to learn and that's it.
3. If you think you'll be taking time away from your children, show them how to do the new craft . Get them some plastic canvas and wool and they can work on their masterpiece while you work on yours.
